Website & public presence

Meta trusts businesses it can find online. A live website (or strong public presence) helps verification succeed.

Ideal setup

  • A live website on https://
  • Company legal name visible (footer, About, Contact, Privacy Policy)
  • Same address / phone as on documents when possible
  • Working pages (not “under construction” or parked domain only)

Why this matters

If Meta cannot connect your documents to a real online presence, verification may stay Pending or go to manual review.

Domain verification (adding a meta tag or DNS record) is also easier when you control the website.

If you do not have a website yet

Options that still help:

  • Publish a simple one-page site with legal name and contact details
  • Use an established social / Google Business profile that clearly shows the same business name (weaker than a website, but better than nothing)
  • Be ready with stronger official documents

Checklist before onboarding

  • Website opens in a browser without errors
  • Legal business name appears on the site
  • Contact details look consistent with Meta forms
  • You can receive email on that domain (recommended)

You are ready
