Facebook / Meta account

Utter connects to WhatsApp through Meta (Facebook). You must log in with a Facebook account that can manage your business.

What you need​

  • An active Facebook / Meta login
  • Ability to create or access a business portfolio
  • Preferably full control (admin) on that portfolio

Only admins with full control can usually start Business verification in Meta Security Center.

During Utter onboarding​

When you click Continue with Meta:

  1. Log in with the correct Facebook account
  2. Allow Utter access to WhatsApp Business assets
  3. Create or select a business portfolio and WhatsApp Business Account

If you use a staff account that is only a partial access user, you may get stuck on permissions or verification.

Tips​

  • Use the account owned by a company director / owner when possible
  • Turn on two-factor authentication so you do not lose access
  • Do not use a random personal account you cannot share with your team later
  • Remember which email/phone is linked to that Facebook login
